Krystyna Pyszková, a bright young woman from the Czech Republic, has achieved a remarkable feat by winning the title of Miss World 2024.
In a glittering pageant hosted in Mumbai, India, Krystyna triumphed over 111 other competitors from all over the world.
During the preliminary rounds of the competition, Krystyna showcased her modeling skills while participating in the “Best Designer Award” contest. Additionally, as a 23-year-old law student and model, she used her platform during the Q&A round to address important issues, speaking passionately about breaking the stigma surrounding menstruation and advocating for women’s health care.
Founded in 1951 in the United Kingdom, the Miss World contest has a long history and is regarded as the oldest international beauty pageant. Notable past winners include Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Priyanka Chopra Jonas, both from India, who have left a lasting legacy in the world of beauty and philanthropy.
Krystyna’s win marks a significant moment as she takes over the prestigious title from Karolina Bielawska of Poland. Hosted by renowned Bollywood filmmaker Karan Johar, the grand finale of the 71st Miss World pageant was a spectacular affair, featuring participants adorned in intricately embroidered attire, dancing to the tunes of popular Bollywood songs.
While Krystyna shone brightly as Miss World, Yasmina Zaytoun of Lebanon emerged as the first runner-up among 112 talented contestants. The event also saw the participation of Sini Shetty from India, who made it to the final eight, adding to the excitement of the evening.
