Three dead, including gunman, in Las Vegas law office shooting

A shooting Monday inside a law office in the affluent Summerlin neighborhood of Las Vegas left three people dead, including the shooter, police said.

The incident occurred at a fifth-floor office on West Charleston Boulevard near Pavilion Center Drive at 10 a.m. Prominent attorney among victims. The suspected gunman is believed to have died by suicide.

Las Vegas, NV – A devastating shooting incident unfolded at a law office situated on the fifth floor of a building near West Charleston Boulevard and Pavilion Center Drive.

Confirming the incident, Las Vegas Sheriff Kevin McMahill shared details during a press conference. Two individuals, a man, and a woman lost their lives in the tragic event.

Swift action was taken by first responders who followed an active-shooter protocol, evacuating the building promptly. The authorities are currently investigating the suspect’s vehicle and working tirelessly to understand the motive behind the shooting.

Among the victims was Dennis Prince, a well-known attorney in Las Vegas, along with another unidentified woman. The shooting occurred within the offices of Prince Law Group.

Clark County Fire Chief John Steinbeck ensured that the occupants of the office building were safe, sheltering in place as per protocol. Additionally, an area for family reunification has been set up on the fifth floor of the Red Rock Resort.

Due to the severity of the situation, Charleston Boulevard was temporarily closed in both directions. The incident occurred in the upscale Summerlin neighborhood of Las Vegas, reported shortly after 10 a.m.

Sadly, three lives were lost, including the suspected gunman, who is believed to have taken his own life. Sheriff McMahill assured the public that there is no further threat to the community.

However, details regarding the victims and their relationship with the shooter remain undisclosed at this time. Sheriff McMahill refrained from sharing specifics about the shooter’s motive.

Summerlin, where the incident occurred, is approximately 30 minutes from the bustling Las Vegas Strip. As investigations continue, the names of the victims have not yet been released.
