Dateline correspondent Keith Morrison and Suzanne Langford Perry, mother of the late actor Matthew Perry, have joined forces to create the Matthew Perry Foundation, aiming to assist individuals grappling with addiction issues. Matthew Perry, known for his iconic role in the television series Friends, tragically passed away at the age of 54. He was found unresponsive in a hot tub at his Los Angeles residence on October 28, 2023. The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office determined that his death was attributed to a combination of factors, including the acute effects of ketamine, drowning, coronary artery disease, and the impacts of buprenorphine.
In response to Perry’s passing, Morrison and Perry’s mother, Suzanne Langford Perry, decided to channel their grief into action by founding the Matthew Perry Foundation.
